China’s plans to build roads, railways and ports in dozens of countries will give a strong boost to steel demand, BHP Billiton said.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 27 (SMM) – China’s plans to build roads, railways and ports in dozens of countries will give a strong boost to steel demand, BHP Billiton said.

The Belt and Road Initiative, or B&R Initiative, will drive additional 150 million tonnes of steel demand over the next 10 years, BHP Billiton predicted.
