SMM Analysis: Good news reappear, Price of Electrolytic Aluminum Auxiliary Rises Again

Affected by constant rise of price of aluminum oxide, cost of ALF3 also goes up, reversing the downward trend previously. The price begins to go up as the peak season begins.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 27 (SMM)－Affected by constant rise of price of aluminum oxide, cost of aluminum fluoride also goes up, reversing the downward trend previously. The price begins to go up as the peak season begins. Facts that affect price of electrolytic aluminum has been changing over time, which was previously production limit due to environmental protection with HF’s demand beyond anticipation and now changed from rise of fluorite price to aluminum oxide price. Currently some Fu chemicals enterprises say im-factory prices of aluminum hydroxide has risen to 2,400-2,500 yuan per tonne, leading rise of ALF3 price to 9,400 yuan per tonne. Considering current upward trend of aluminum oxide price, the price of aluminum hydroxide is expected to reach around 2,700 yuan per tonne. With the upcoming peak season of ALF3 demand, the price of it will probably rise to 10,000 yuan per tonne.
