Zimbabwe to Impose High Duty on Unprocessed Platinum Exports

Zimbabwe plans to levy high duty on exports of unprocessed platinum, starting from early 2018.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 22 (SMM) – Zimbabwe plans to levy high duty on exports of unprocessed platinum, starting from early 2018.

The duty will be as high as 15%.

Mimosa, one of the country’s three major platinum producers, said it may have to close mining site if the government insists on imposing such high duty.
