Shougang Hierro Peru will put the $1.5 billion worth of iron mine brownfield project into production in H2 2018, which is located in Marcona.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 22 (SMM) – Shougang Hierro Peru will put the $1.5 billion worth of iron mine brownfield project into production in H2 2018, which is located in Marcona.

It will increase ore processing capacity at the mine to 20 million tonne per annum.

Yonggang Suspends Wire Rod Plant for Maintenance

The iron mine has 2.18 billion tonnes of proven iron reserves, grading 55%. Besides, it also contains copper and zinc.
