SHANGHAI, Sept. 22 (SMM) - Domestic titanium ore supply and demand which grew in H1 2017 compared to the same period of last year have been significantly impacted by environmental protection in H2.

Titanium ore prices rose from 1,350 yuan per tonne early this year to as high as 1,900 yuan per tonne, but dropped back to 1,300 yuan per tonne in the back half of the year, due mainly to environmental protection checks during July-August in some provinces which have an agglomeration of titanium producers.
