Two Major Chinese State Departments Carry Out Checks on Rare Earth Firms

China's MIIT and MLR carried out on-site checks on rare earth relevant firms during Sept. 7-14.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 19 (SMM) – Raw material division of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and mineral development division of Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) carried out on-site checks on rare earth relevant firms during Sept. 7-14.

The checks mainly target rare earth mining, smelting & separating and trade companies in Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi and Fujian.

The action is aimed at cracking down on illegal mining, purchases and processing of rare earth products.
