What’s the impact on local zinc mines from the Summit?

SHANGHAI, Sept. 12 (SMM) – The 2017 BRICS Summit was held in Fujian’s Xiamen from September 3-5. 

What’s the impact on local zinc mines from the Summit?

SMM learns that zinc mines in Fujian halted production from mid August to mid September due to explosives restriction and transportation disruption because of the Summit.

But, output at zinc mines in Fujian is low, with monthly output about 4,000-5,000 tonnes. Hence, overall impact will be small from the Summit, SMM notes.
