China Unwrought Aluminum and Aluminum Semis Exports Fall Sharply in August

China’s unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis exports fell sharply in August from July’s level.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 8 (SMM) – China’s unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis exports fell sharply in August from July’s level.

Customs data showed China exported 410,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis in August, down 6.8% from July’s 440,000 tonnes, but unchanged from a year ago.

Exports totaled 3.25 million tonnes during the first eight months, up 5.7% from a year ago.
