LME to Slash Short- and Medium-Dated Carry Trade Fees

The London Metal Exchange (LME) announced Thursday that it will cut short- and medium-dated carry trade fees significantly from October 1. 

SHANGHAI, Sept. 8 (SMM) – The London Metal Exchange (LME) announced Thursday that it will cut short- and medium-dated carry trade fees significantly from October 1. 

The move is aimed at supporting its physical user base and encouraging use of its daily date structure, the bourse said.

Besides, the LME intends to introduce a new financial OTC fee, effective from 1 January, 2018, so as to ensure fairness in LME fee structures, the exchange added.
