Scientists have taken a big step toward practical applications for a new type of Li-ion battery, a study published on Wednesday showed.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 7 (SMM) – Scientists have taken a big step toward practical applications for a new type of Li-ion battery, a study published on Wednesday showed.

The battery, which uses water-based electrolyte, not only removes explosion risks, but also reaches energy density of traditional Li-ion battery.
