SHANGHAI, Sept. 6 (SMM) – One nickel salt producer in Guangxi plans to carry out unit maintenance in late September, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

One Large Nickel Salt Producer Runs at Full Capacity, SMM Learns

The maintenance is expected to last about 4 days. The producer put online its new line this May, and output was increasing since its commissioning, with current daily output at 1.20 tonnes.

Indonesia's state power company (PLN) Maluku and North Maluku branch officially revised the power purchase agreement with Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) on March 2, 2026, increasing the purchased excess power from 8.5 MW to 11 MW.
