SHANGHAI, Sept. 5 (SMM) – One stainless steel mill in east China plans to raise 2017 output target of #200 stainless steel from 1.20 million tonnes to 1.30 million tonnes, Shanghai Metals Market learns.
The output increase will be slightly higher than its annual capacity of 1.20 million mt, and strong demand and decent profits are major factors behind the increase.
The company conducted unit maintenance in May when prices were sluggish, and have no other major maintenance plans for the rest of the year, except a 1 or 2-day regular maintenance.
