One domestic nickel concentrate producer plans to restart production in September as LME nickel climbs above $12,000 per tonne, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 5 (SMM) – One domestic nickel concentrate producer plans to restart production in September as LME nickel climbs above $12,000 per tonne, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

The producer’s monthly output is about 500 tonnes in Ni content in normal operations.

Nickel Ore Exports Heard to Come from Indonesia to China

At present, there are 4 nickel concentrate producers in China, and 2 of them produce for their own needs, SMM learns.
