SHANGHAI, Sept. 4 (SMM) – China’s lead price has been rising along with supply shortages from stricter environmental protection inspections.
Decent profits have encouraged domestic lead producers to increase production.
SMM survey finds that domestic secondary lead smelters are increasing output, and big output increment is expected in September and October. Output in September is estimated to grow by approximately 1,200 t/d based on data surveyed so far. This will help ease supply shortages in China’s domestic market.
SMM will track utilization rates at domestic secondary lead smelters, and please stay tuned on.
