SHANGHAI, Sept. 4 (SMM) – It was an electrical short circuit that caused fire at Wu’an 2672 Steel Plant (or New Venture Pipe), SMM confirmed.

The short circuit fault happened at its #1 sintering unit when one third party was conducting its maintenance.

The accident, however, did not affect its normal production.
