SHANGHAI, Sept. 1 (SMM) – SMM sees a good chance for prebaked anode supply to be in shortfall in winter heating season.

Macquarie Raises Iron Ore and Aluminum Price Forecasts on China Demand

Calcined coke prices keep rising as environmental checks have left the raw material in shortage. This has sent ripple effects to prebaked anode prices. 

China Aluminum Stocks Refresh Nearly 10-Year High, SMM Says

Weiqiao Group is still negotiating with prebaked anode suppliers over prices for delivery in September. The price will probably be set at 420 yuan/tonne, much higher than 200 yuan/tonne market had previously expected.
