COMEX Gold Net Long Positions Increase for Six Consecutive Weeks

COMEX gold net long positions held by hedge funds and fund managers rose for six weeks in a row in the week ending August 22, CFTC data showed.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 29 (SMM) –COMEX gold net long positions held by hedge funds and fund managers rose for six weeks in a row in the week ending August 22, CFTC data showed.

COMEX gold net long positions surged 16,794 lots to 196,331 lots.

On a breakdown, long positions rose 13,094 lots, while short positions fell 3,700 lots.
