SHFE 1801 nickel opened at RMB 91,920/mt today and then fell to RMB 90,770/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1801 nickel opened at RMB 91,920/mt today and then fell to RMB 90,770/mt. With longs opening positions and shorts leaving the market, SHFE 1801 nickel surged to RMB 92,670/mt, and closed at RMB 92,230/mt, up RMB 550/mt or 0.60%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1801 nickel increased 210,000 to 856,000 lots, and positions decreased 6,618 to 518,000. SHFE 1801 nickel will fluctuate at highs this evening. US new home sales and EIA crude oil inventories will be released this evening.
