SHANGHAI, Aug. 23 (SMM) – Inner Mongolia Jinlian Aluminum Co., Jinjiang Group’s subsidiary, has begun cutting aluminum capacity, SMM survey finds.

Massive Output Cuts Not Enough to Reverse Oversupply in China Aluminum Market, SMM Says

The company has cut 100,000 tonnes and will complete closure of another 150,000 tonnes in mid or late September.

China Aluminum Stocks to Exceed 1.8 Million Tonnes in Q1 2018, SMM Predicts

After 250,000 tonnes of aluminum capacity is cut, the company’s total capacity will be reduced to 800,000 tonnes.
