High-grade NPI price stays on its rising track, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 23 (SMM) – High-grade NPI price stays on its rising track, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

According to SMM, one high-grade NPI producer in Jiangsu sold 5,000 tonnes of goods to a stainless steel mill in south China at price of 1,030 yuan per mtu.

Environmental Factor Exerts Limited Impact on NPI Production in Shandong, and Rising Price Grows Production Interest

The spot availability is reducing as high-grade NPI producers hold back sales, and this, coupled with the already supply tightness, has sent high-grade NPI up as much as 14 per cent within the month (as of Aug. 23). Over the same period, domestic nickel plate price advanced by 6.6 per cent.
