Antofagasta announced Tuesday its profit jumped in H1 2017 thanks to rising copper prices.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 22 (SMM) – Antofagasta announced Tuesday its profit jumped in H1 2017 thanks to rising copper prices.

Glencore Shuts down Copper-Cobalt Mine in Zambia

Its copper output increased 7% to 346,300 tonnes since Centinela and Antucoya copper mines stepped up production.

Citibank Bullish toward Base Metals in Next Few Months

It left annual copper production target at 685,000-720,000 tonnes, and cost plans unchanged.
