Spot trading in Shanghai market improves today as SHFE zinc prices slump, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 22 (SMM) – Spot trading in Shanghai market improves today as SHFE zinc prices slump, SMM reports.

SHFE 1709 zinc plunged after opening, dipping to 26,070 yuan per tonne, a fall of 570 yuan per tonne from yesterday.

Downstream buyers purchased actively at lower prices, and boosted transactions among traders.

SHFE Releases Restrictions on Zinc Contract Transaction

Spot premiums of regular zinc brands in Shanghai were 350-400 yuan per tonne over September zinc on the SHFE, SMM data showed.
