High Price Keeps Buyers Away in China Nickel Market

On Monday, nickel price kept hovering at highs, and premiums of Jinchuan nickel were lowered further to 400-600 yuan per tonne, and Russian nickel was offered at premiums of 0-100 yuan per tonne.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 21 (SMM) – On Monday, nickel price kept hovering at highs, and premiums of Jinchuan nickel were lowered further to 400-600 yuan per tonne, and Russian nickel was offered at premiums of 0-100 yuan per tonne, according to SMM.

Some domestic stainless steel mills made small purchases, a sign of strong wait-and-see attitude in purchases at highs, SMM survey finds. Deals were mainly made at 89,300-90,000 yuan per tonne in the morning business.
