Is Monsoon Season, or High Price behind Falling Tin Concentrate Transaction? SMM Reports

Tin transaction reduced recently. In addition to monsoon season, weak tin price was also attributed to the decline.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – TCs for tin concentrate (Ts content 40%) were 17,000-18,000 yuan per tonne in Gejiu and those for tin concentrate (Ts content 60%) were 13,500-14,500 yuan per tonne. Most market players considered this as the lowest level, and it will be hard to be lowered.

Tin transaction reduced recently. In addition to monsoon season, weak tin price was also attributed to the decline. Traders showed low selling interest at low prices and will not sell goods until price increase to above 150,000 yuan per tonne.
