SHFE 1710 zinc opened at RMB 25,755/mt today and then edged up to RMB 25,950/mt with longs rushing in.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1710 zinc opened at RMB 25,755/mt today and then edged up to RMB 25,950/mt with longs rushing in. In the afternoon, SHFE 1710 zinc reached RMB 26,250/mt, and closed at RMB 26,150/mt, up RMB 175/mt or 0.67%. Trading volumes increased 300,000 to 934,000 lots, and positions increased 5,072 to 304,000. SHFE 1710 zinc will hover at highs this evening.
