Peru Copper Output Grows in June

Mining production in Peru grew 7 per cent in June, according to its National Institute of Statistics and Information. 

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – Mining production in Peru grew 7 per cent in June, according to its National Institute of Statistics and Information. 

Among them, output of copper was up 1.7 per cent for copper, 13.5 per cent for zinc, 10.6 per cent for lead, 10.8 per cent for silver, 11.6 per cent for iron ore, 9.4 per cent for tin, 55 per cent for molybdenum, but down 1.3 per cent for gold. 

In June, the country’s GDP grew 3.6 per cent, 0.2 percentage point higher than the 3.4 per cent growth in May, the highest growth since January.
