Shanghai Tin Prices Extend Losses and Trading Muted, SMM Reports

SHFE tin inched down this morning to 143,010 yuan/tonne, sending spot prices in Shanghai down further.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 16 (SMM) – SHFE tin inched down this morning to 143,010 yuan/tonne, sending spot prices in Shanghai down further.

Mainstream traded prices fell to 142,500-144,000 yuan/tonne before lunchtime. Hedged goods from Yunnan Tin Group traded at premiums of 800-1,000 yuan/tonne over SHFE 1709 tin. Small brand tin traded at 142,500 yuan/tonne, while ordinary tin from Yunnan Tin Group traded between 143,100-143,400 yuan/tonne.
