SHANGHAI, Aug. 15 (SMM) – Some electroplating plants in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province were required to close to reduce cadmium pollution August 15, SMM reports.

Environmental Protection Team Executes Thorough Checks at Foundries in Shandong

Low-temperature zinc alloy (zinc-cadmium alloy) plants in Yiwu have mostly suspended production. Electroplating plants in Ouhai District, Wenzhou City have received notice which forces them to cease production from August 18. None of them will be allowed to restart until they pass inspections.
