SHFE Lead Closes Higher (2017-8-15)

SHFE 1709 lead opened lower at RMB 19,060/mt and closed at RMB 19,215/mt, up RMB 165/mt or 0.87%.
SHANGHAI, Aug. 15 (SMM) – On Tuesday, SHFE 1709 lead opened lower at RMB 19,060/mt and then advanced to RMB 19,325/mt. The contract later fell back after longs took profits, and closed at RMB 19,215/mt, up RMB 165/mt or 0.87%. Trading volumes reduced 5,010 to 34,336 lots and positions lowered 2,354 to 27,802. SHFE 1708 lead opened at RMB 20,100/mt and closed at RMB 19,995/mt, up RMB 1,195/mt or 6.36%. Trading volumes fell 1,420 to 70 lots and positions lowered 10 to 4,280.
SHFE 1709 lead will keep hovering at highs in a short term.
