What’s Impact on Silicon Producers in Xinjiang from Central Environmental Checks? SMM Reports

The central environmental protection inspection team has arrived in Xinjiang. 

SHANGHAI, Aug. 15 (SMM) – The central environmental protection inspection team has arrived in Xinjiang. 

Local silicon producers are cautious about production. Some producers, who do not meet discharge requirements, have cut operating rates to 80-90%, SMM learned. No production halts have been reported for now. 

Some local coal mines have closed, tightening coal supply to silicon producers.
