China Ferrous Metals Prices Tumble after Crazy Gains, SMM Reports

On Aug. 11, prices of ferrous metals tumbled after sharp gains in recent days.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 11 (SMM) – On Aug. 11, prices of ferrous metals tumbled after sharp gains in recent days.

As of mid-day trading on Friday, price of DCE most actively-traded iron ore contract closed down by 5.2 percent, and price of SHFE most actively-traded rebar and hot-rolled coil contracts ended lower by 3.5 per cent and 2.9 per cent, respectively.

Earlier, news heard that SHFE will likely raise trading margins for rebar futures contracts.
