SHANGHAHI, Aug. 10 (SMM) – Explosive transportation is forbidden during early and mid-August in Inner Mongolia due to a celebration to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, SMM understands.
Local small lead-zinc mines are affected, while large ones are barely impacted due to sufficient explosive and raw ore inventories, SMM survey finds.
Inner Mongolia has abundant lead and zinc resources. Local zinc production totals 1.60 million tonnes per year.
The celebration for the 70th anniversary took place on August 8.
