Will Sichuan Powerful Earthquake Affect Production at Pb-Zn Mines? SMM Reports

Many lead and zinc mines in Sichuan felt strong shaking.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 9 (SMM) - A 7.0-magnitude earthquake shook Sichuan's Jiuzhaigou County at 21:19, August 8.

There are many lead and zinc mines in Longnan, which is about 100 km far away from Jiuzhaigou. Those mines, including Changba Pb-Zn Mine, Jinhui Mining and Chengxian Bijiashan Pb-Zn Mine, all felt strong shaking. Their staff is safe now, SMM learns.

SMM will update impact on production at mines from the earthquake.
