China imported 390,000 tonnes of unwrought copper and copper semis in July, up 8.3% YoY, and 2.62 million tonnes in the first seven months of 2017, fdown 15.2% YoY.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (SMM) – According to China Customs, China imported 390,000 tonnes of unwrought copper and copper semis in July, up 8.3% YoY.

The imports fell 15.2% YoY to 2.62 million tonnes in the first seven months of 2017.

Profitable import window closed at the most time in January-July 2017, the main factor behind reducing imports. Imported copper was under losses throughout July and widened at the end of month.
