China announced to raise technical indicators of photovoltaic products and enhance supervision.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (SMM) – China’s National Energy Administration, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Certification & Accreditation Administration announced to raise technical indicators of photovoltaic products and enhance supervision.

According to the announcement, producers for new commissioned and connected to grid photovoltaic power plants should meet Standard Conditions for the Rare Earth Industry from January 1, 2018. Photoelectric conversion efficiency for polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon solar module will increase to 16% and 16.8% respectively.

Attenuation rate of polysilicon should be below 2.5% within one year, and that of monocrystalline silicon should not exceed 3% within one year.
