SHFE 1710 aluminum opened at RMB 14,840/mt on Monday.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 7 (SMM) – SHFE 1710 aluminum opened at RMB 14,840/mt on Monday. Hebei released program for off-peak production during winter heating season, which triggered long buying and pushed SHFE aluminum up sharply. Trading volumes of SHFE 1710 aluminum rose to 5,511,238 lots and positions rose 61,394 lots to 343,358 lots. Positions of all SHFE aluminum contracts rose 71,944 lots to 769,404 lots. SHFE aluminum will rise further tonight, but may see profit taking by longs.
