SHANGHAI, Jul. 31 (SMM) - Codelco Chief Executive Officer Nelson Pizarro said its copper production is expected to fall 1-2% on a quarterly basis in the second quarter of 2017, according to wenhua.com.
Codelco’s copper output was only 400,000 tonnes in the second quarter of 2016.
The company’s copper output slid 11% year-on-year in the first quarter this year due to lower ore grade.
