SHANGHAI, Jul. 31 (SMM) – Growing pessimism over alumina prices in Chinese market has forced alumina suppliers in Australia to cut offers, SMM learned.

FOB price of Australian alumina slid $ 1/tonne to $ 305.5/tonne last week.

The weighted average alumina price in domestic four major markets dropped 16 yuan/tonne week-on-week to 2,526 yuan/tonne as of July 28, SMM data showed.
