TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on July 27th, Thursday. Aluminum and Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change from previous day. Shredded Auto Steel scrap prices declined. Brass/Bronze scrap prices recorded marginal increase over the day.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.04 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.04 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.04 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery have increased marginally by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.04 per Lb to touch $2.41 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap saw slight increase by $0.01 per Lb. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on July 27th, 2017.
Heater Cores, Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights maintained previous day price levels.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.64 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions reported no change from the previous day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.61 per Lb and $0.59 per Lb respectively.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 27th July, 2017.
Chrome Wheels and E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained flat over the day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips remained flat at $0.64 per Lb and $0.62 per Lb respectively.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too were flat on Index.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too remained unchanged.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained unchanged at $350 per MT.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 27th July, 2017.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $265 per MT.
Shredded Auto Scrap prices declined by $5 per MT over the day.
Sheet Metal and Structural Steel also recorded no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices held steady.
304 SS Solid and 309 SS prices remained flat on Index.
304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 27th July, 2017.
310 SS, 316 SS Solid and 330 SS prices remained unchanged when matched with the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region recorded marginal rise on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on July 27th, 2017.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices recorded marginal increase of $0.01 per Lb each.
