SHANGHAI, Jun. 27 (SMM) - Spot discounts for regular #0 zinc narrowed 10 yuan per tonne in Shanghai market over August zinc on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) on July 27.

China Zinc Concentrate Output to Grow January-July, SMM Says

The price spread between imported zinc and domestic #0 zinc contracted to 10 yuan per tonne due to low availability of imported resources, SMM said. Imported zinc has been consumed now that the import profit window was closed a long time ago.

#0 zinc traded mainly in 23,260-23,490 yuan per tonne range in Shanghai on July 27. #0 zinc prices in Guangdong were 23,300-23,330 yuan per tonne and 23,480-24,330 yuan per tonne in Tianjin, SMM data showed.
