SHANGHAI, Jul. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 zinc opened at RMB 22,935/mt today and then edged up to RMB 23,100/mt. With leaving of longs after profit-taking, SHFE 1709 zinc fell to RMB 23,000/mt and closed at RMB 22,955/mt, up RMB 115/mt or 0.5%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1708 zinc increased 103,000 to 608,000 lots, and positions decreased 2,000 to 264,000. SHFE 1709 zinc is expected to have limited upward room this evening.
