SHANGHAI, Jul. 21 (SMM) – Chalco recorded its best performance in nine years in H1 2017 and ia poised to become the world’s biggest aluminum semis producer in 2017.

SMM Analysis: China Alumina Supply & Demand Balance in H2 2017

The company reported 153 billion in revenues in H1 2017, up 53% year-on-year and 1.12 billion in profit, up 1.41 billion year-on-year.

Chalco expects its aluminum semis output to exceed 2.8 million tonnes in 2017.

IAI: Primary Aluminum Output Grows in China in June, But Falls Outside China

Thanks to rising aluminum prices amid supply side reform, 8 out of the 10 listed aluminum companies that have released semi-year earnings reports reported growth in net profit in H1 2017.
