China Issues Second Batch of Rare Earth Output Restriction

China released the second batch of rare earth production in 2017, with mineral output flat at 52,500 tonnes on a yearly basis and smelting products down to 49,925 tonnes from 2016’s 55,000 tonnes.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 13 (SMM) – China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology released the second batch of rare earth production in 2017, with mineral output flat at 52,500 tonnes on a yearly basis and smelting products down to 49,925 tonnes from 2016’s 55,000 tonnes.

China Releases First Rare Earth Production Quota in 2017

The country also sets output restriction targets on 6 rare earth producers, including China Minmetals, Chalco, Xiamen Tungsten, China Northern Rare Earth Group, China Southern Rare Earth Group and Guangdong Rare Earth.
