China Automotive Aluminum Consumption Way Below Forecast

China’s consumption of automotive aluminum in April was much lower than Sublime China Information (SCI)’s forecast.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 6 (SMM) – China’s consumption of automotive aluminum in April was much lower than Sublime China Information (SCI)’s forecast. 

Henan to Eliminate Long-Idled Aluminum Capacity by 2018

SCI data showed aluminum consumption in China’s automobile industry was 273,000 tonnes in April, down 17.9% from March and down 1.4% from a year ago. Consumption amounted to 1.18 million tonnes from January through April, up 6% from a year ago.
