Some mining companies in Chile are considering restarting some copper mines projects which have been postponed due to low copper prices, wenhua.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 29 (SMM) - Some mining companies in Chile are considering restarting some copper mines projects which have been postponed due to low copper prices, wenhua.com reported.

However, they will do so after political uncertainty disappears. Chilean presidential election result will come out in November.

Antofagasta former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Diego Hernandez said Chilean mining industry may see massive investment in copper mine projects in the second half of 2018.
