Zinc Spot Premiums Stay High in Guangdong, Price Gap Expands Remarkably between Guangdong and Shanghai, SMM Reports

Spot premiums on #0 zinc in Guangdong were quoted at 900-950 yuan per tonne against SHFE July zinc on June 15, SMM data showed.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 15 (SMM) - Spot premiums on #0 zinc in Guangdong were quoted at 900-950 yuan per tonne against SHFE July zinc on June 15, SMM data showed.

The price spread on spot zinc between Guangdong and Shanghai expanded from 50 yuan per tonne to 200 yuan per tonne.

Zinc Inflows in Shanghai Grow This Week, Majorly in 3 Warehouses, SMM Reports

Spot inventories in Guangdong were below 30,000 tonnes, still insufficient.

Guangdong may attract shipments from Shanghai as the price spread between the two regions exceeded freight charges, SMM said.
