Zinc Spot Premiums Narrow but Stay Firm, Price Gap between Domestic and Imported Zinc Expand Further, SMM Reports

Spot premiums on #0 zinc over SHFE July zinc narrowed 180 yuan per tonne to 980-1,300 yuan per tonne on June 13 in Shanghai market, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 13 (SMM) – Spot premiums on #0 zinc over SHFE July zinc narrowed 180 yuan per tonne to 980-1,300 yuan per tonne on June 13 in Shanghai market, according to SMM data.

The price spread between domestic and imported zinc expanded further from yesterday to 320-430 yuan per tonne.

Zinc inventories grew slightly, but supplies tightness of spot zinc saw no noticeable relief.

#0 zinc traded in a 22,320-22,900 yuan per tonne range in Shanghai June 13. #0 zinc prices in Guangdong were 22,650-22,750 yuan per tonne and 22,600-23,710 yuan per tonne in Tianjin.

The regulation is set to take effect on April 3.
