SHFE 1707 lead started at RMB 16,650/mt and ended at RMB 16,850/mt, up RMB 315/mt or 1.91%.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – On Friday, SHFE 1707 lead started at RMB 16,650/mt and then climbed to RMB 16,850/mt with positions opening by longs. The contract registered intra-day lowest level at RMB 16,535/mt and ended at RMB 16,850/mt, up RMB 315/mt or 1.91%. Trading volumes rose 120 to 64,594 lots and positions fell 58 to 41,812.

SHFE 1707 lead will remain in upward track on Friday’s night trading.

The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
