SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – China’s tin output will soar 13.9% MoM to 15,600 tonnes in June after tin smelters, halting and cutting output in May, will resume production, SMM expects. Besides, some tin smelters in Jiangxi will put production lines into operation from late June after the end of factory removal.
In May, tin output was 13,707 tonnes, down 7.5% MoM as tin smelters cut production for maintenance and inspections. Guangxi China Tin Group suspended production of Ausmelt furnace in May, slashing output. Some smelters in Yunna’s Gejiu reduced output because of environmental protection inspections and power outage. One large smelter in Inner Mongolia cut output slightly to adjust furnace.
