SHFE 1708 aluminum drifted lower after opening at RMB 13,780/mt on Wednesday, and followed other base metals down further to RMB 13,710/mt in the afternoon.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 7 (SMM) –SHFE 1708 aluminum drifted lower after opening at RMB 13,780/mt on Wednesday, and followed other base metals down further to RMB 13,710/mt in the afternoon. The contract rallied slightly later thanks to short covering before ending at RMB 13,750/mt. Trading volumes decreased to 110,030 lots, and positions increased 11,276 lots to 201,654 lots. SHFE 1708 aluminum will remain weak in the short term.
